AMD Zen全新架構的處理器將在2017年發佈,陸續登陸桌面、伺服器等市場。
不同於當前推土機架構的雙核合一模組,Zen將回歸傳統獨立核心設計
並且有很特殊的組合方式。此前我們就曾介紹過,Zen處理器的基礎模組
叫做“Zeppelin”(齊柏林/ZP),今天我們第一次看到了它的基本架構圖:
可以清楚地看到,每一個Zeppelin模組都有8個物理核心(16個執行緒)
每核心512KB二級緩存,同時每四個核心共用8MB三級緩存,那就是總計4MB二級緩存、
16MB三級緩存。
模組內還集成了PCI-E 3.0/SATA 6Gbps/10GbE控制器、伺服器控制器中心、
DDR4記憶體控制器、安全處理器,然後通過一致性互連匯流排,與其他模組組成更大規模
的產品。
不過很顯然,這裡展示的是Opteron伺服器版本,桌上出版顯然不會有伺服器控制器中心
(Server Controller Hub),而且桌面上預計最多也就只有8個核心
那麼一致性互聯(Conherent Interconnect)也就沒必要了。
在伺服器上,AMD Zen Opteron處理器將分為三個類型,都有自己的介面:
第一部分代號“Snowy Owl”(雪鴞),4/8個核心
封裝介面SP4R2 BGA,面向入門級伺服器。
第二部分代號也是“Snoy Owl”,8/12/16個核心
面向中端市場,封裝介面SP4 BGA,其實相容SP4R2但不知道為什麼搞出兩樣來。
第三部分代號“Naples”(那不勒斯),16/24/32個核心
頂級產品,封裝介面SP3 Socket。
當然,它們都支援同步多執行緒技術,最多可提供64個執行緒。
性能方面,AMD對最核心的IPC(每時鐘週期指令數)極為保密
但是有不少內部人士稱,Zen是完全有能力和Intel Skylake一較高低的。
