Apple烀as granted a漤atent漑n Tuesday for "flexible display devices," which co
uld someday lead to a bendable湶Phone.
The漤roposed designs汢nvision a foldable device -- remember flip漤hones? -- wi
th an organic light-emitting diode screen. The company filed the patent applic
ation in July 2014 with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The news was repor
ted earlier by孭ppleInsider.
In June, Lenovo showed off a沲lexible phone prototype濳hat you could wrap arou
nd your wrist. Around the same time,嚒amsung烀as reported to be working on two
bendable models.
Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. There's already been specu
lation that at least one of the new models will get an嘢LED display.
Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
