Coffee Lake時代 VRM的選料跟相數計算 - 3C

根據規格書,處理器電源大概有這幾軌: 本表更新至8C
Coffee Lake Processor Power Rail (up to 8cores)

VccGT SVID
VccSA SVID(U/H), Fixed 1.05V 11.1A(S)
VccIO Fixed 0.95V 30mA
VccST Fixed 1.05V 80mA \
VccSTG Fixed 1.05V 20mA | 250mA 總和
VccPLL Fixed 1.05V 150mA /
VccPLL_OC Fixed 1.20V 130mA \
VDDQ Fixed 1.20V 3.3A / 3.43A 總和
VccOPC Fixed 1.00V 4.2A \
VccEOPIO Fixed 1.00V 2.0A / 6.2A 總和
VccOPC_1P8 Fixed 1.80V 100mA
其中會用到VRM IC的是這三軌(都是取上限):
IccMAX_IA 64/ 140/ 193A (U/H/S)
IccMAX_GT 64/ 32/ 45A (U/H/S)
ICCMAX_SA 8.5/11.1/ (U/H)
根據不同處理器拆開及計算大約相數:
使用 32A 為計算基礎的理由如下:
1. 電感175nH 50A (只用其中32A)

CFL-S IA 193A/GT 45A 6/2 相 , CFL-S的SA軌是固定電壓
有了這些認識就可以來看公版的設計:
CFL-U ISL95855 3+2+1相
CFL-H 6C. ISL95855 3+2+1相
8C. ISL95856 4+3 相
+ISL95854 1 相
CFL-S 6C. ISL95856 4+3 相
8C. MP2949AGQKT 6 相
+MP2940AGRT 3 相
Xeon Sv 6C. ISL69137 4+2 相
8C. ISL69137 6 相
PS1. CFL-S GT只用2相
PS2. Server 8C 索性直接廢掉內顯, 不然還要多擺2組 功率晶體+驅動器
一大堆東西都要重新設計 EX: 功率晶體散熱片, 零件擺置, 繞線等等~
ISL69137 的能力是 X+Y<=7 的可規劃雙輸出VRM IC
PS3. 公版上用的PWM IC都不會超過7相/單顆
