DISKEEPER 的HYPERFAST要開嗎? - 儲存設備

昨天換了2012年版

發現跟2010年不一樣~

偵測到SSD後，沒有像10一樣自動關閉IntelliWrite跟自動重組，也沒有HYPERFAST的開關

覺得很奇怪，網路上相關討論也很少，

所以就用超破的英文謝信去問官方(對方看得懂超開心^^)，回信也超快(4小時內)

主要是問，2012有偵測到SSD卻沒有自動關閉上述兩個功能，需要手動關閉嗎?
(故意跟他提SSD應該不需要重組吧)
及進階設定裡面的TRIM功能我預設是關閉的，需要手動開啟嗎?

得到回覆整理如下，
1.開啟IntelliWrite跟自動重組 較佳
(個人認為是針對2012版，2010自動重組一定不能開
IntelliWrite既然預設不開覺得應該不要開比較好，
畢竟2012似乎是IntelliWrite 2.0 2010是1.0)
(對SSD不會用傳統方式重組，應該是於2012開自動重組等於開啟HYPERFAST吧我猜)
2.有TRIM就不用開DISKEEPER的TRIM

Hello,

Below are the recommended settings for Diskeeper 12 and SSD drives.

Make sure that the Diskeeper sees the drive is an SSD.

Then make sure that Automatic Defragmentation is set to run for your C drive.
HyperFast will use the Automatic Defragmentation mechanism to run its jobs.
It will not do standard defragmentation on the SSD.

I would set IntelliWrite to run on the drive as well. This will simply cause
the initial write to the drive to be in one piece if at all possible.

If you do not have a TRIM utility for the SSD already running, set the TRIM
function in Diskeeper to run. If you already have a TRIM function for the
drive, do not set the Diskeeper TRIM function to run.

Please note that on an SSD, file fragmentation itself is not the issue. It is
excessive free space fragmentation.

Also, it should be noted that with Diskeeper 12, HyperFast was made less
aggressive in order to extend SSD lifespan. However, not all of the reports
were properly scaled back. This means that you could get a warning (yellow
exclamation point) showing. This is not anything to be concerned about. An
adjustment to this reporting is expected in a future update. A critical
warning would be of more importance. If you get this let us know.

順便有問題如下，我應該沒有另外裝TRIM的軟體
DISKEEPER要我確認我的TRIM功能有沒有作用
請問要怎麼確認阿?


爬了很多文，都是滿舊的文章(似乎都是WIN 7 SP1以前的)
是因為後來WIN7 SP1有修正所以沒有這個問題了嗎?
還有爬到有人說DisableDeleteNotify = 0 也不一定準確

所以有這個疑問
有簡單的測試方法嗎?
