最近一直在想這個問題:
我們桌上級/隨身級3C產品,
傳輸來說, 網路有 ECC, USB 有 ECC, PCIE 有 ECC, SATA 有 ECC,
儲存來說, 硬碟有 ECC, 光碟有 ECC, Flash 碟有 ECC,
唯獨 RAM 沒有, 現在裝機 RAM 都從 8G起跳,
甚至裝到 32G, 這已經是十年前硬碟的大小,
而 CPU 到 RAM 之間的傳輸量也是動輒每秒幾十G在跑,
沒有ECC真的大丈夫嗎?
其實加入ECC成本不高呀 (現在RAM超便宜der, xeon的IMC有ECC也沒看他比core大顆)
只是廠商為了區分 desktop 級跟 ws/server 級故意不做/做很貴吧?
