GNOME or KDE? The Old Question Is New Today
(我會貼這篇 一定是作者說了 KDE 好話 XDD)
作者比較了幾個項目 不過沒有列出數據 而且大多是主觀的想法
詳細的內容 請連到原網址觀看
Performance and Memory Demands
Verdict: 1st place: Cinnamon/Mate and KDE are tied. 2nd place: GNOME 3. 3rd place: Unity.
Ease of Use
Verdict: First, Cinnamon/Mate, followed by KDE, Unity and GNOME 3 -- in that order.
I use mobile devices, but I've never reconciled myself to their finicky interfaces.
The Desktop Design Philosophy
Verdict: With its skill at innovating while preserving tradition, KDE easily takes first place.
Cinnamon/Mate's welcomes incremental changes at best, but its popularity wins second place.
The last position is a tie between GNOME 3 and Unity, which are intellectually interesting,
but often seem to display a paternalistic attitude towards users.
Application Design
Verdict: A fourway tie. Both the minimalist and maximalist approaches are admirable
in their own way, although I admit I prefer the maximalist. But since there are very
few compromises — if any — between these two extremes, I refuse to choose between them.
Unique Features
Verdict: It's no contest. KDE takes first. Trailing far behind is GNOME 3 in second,
followed by Unity in an equally distant third. Cinnamon/Mate takes fourth for participation,
as much as anything else.
