How to make a new installable Linux? - Linux

First, sorry that I can't type in Chinese.
Recently, I try to use bv1al's book to make my own Linux istallable DVD.
However, those opcodes useable in Knoppix or debian in 2002,
like ISOboot, or cloop, cannot be used in Fedora Linux.
I wonder what opcodes were used by those distribution makers.
I know I can use shell to speed up my multi-server installation process,
but I still wonder how to make my own Linux installable DVD.
