HTC 10 USB TYPE C PORT - SMELLS LIKE SMOKE AND WONT CHARGE (self.HTC10)

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem. Just FYI I've had this
phone since the end of May. So I plugged in my HTC 10 last night using the
provided charger and cable. I got a warning message saying something along
the lines of charging cable not supported please use provided charger. All
this while the phone wouldn't charge. I plugged it in and out a couple
times...worked for a bit then I heard some sizzling, unplugged and both the
port and the USB TYPE C end smelled like smoke. Now the phone will not charge
and if you listen closely you can hear high pitched sound coming from the
brick. I used a different cable and still the same problem. Smells like
smoke. I'm afraid I've burned my port or something. I'm wondering what I did
wrong, if this is an HTC 10 problem, a USB TYPE C problem, or just an
unfortunate incident. I'm also wondering if it has something to do with quick
charging. I bought an ANKER quick charger car charger which I use frequently.
Not sure if that has a part to play either. I called HTC and they're telling
me to send it in for repair which is fine but I'm wondering if there is some
solution or something I can do to figure out or even fix what has happened
ASAP. Sorry for the long post. Appreciate it.

1.使用原廠充電組+ANKER 車充(皆常用)

2.某晚用原廠充電組充電時，系統顯示非支援充電配備，

無法充電，嘗試一陣子後聞到燒焦味+滋滋聲。

3.使用不同線組得到一樣結果。

4.HTC請事主送修。
