去年,桌面晶片巨頭英特爾發佈了自家極具影響力的 Skylake 微架構處理器
雖然已經是 14 納米工藝的第二年時間裡,但卻代愈發成熟,更適用於高性能的桌面平臺
難能可貴的是,英特爾終於不再只是鼓吹針對筆記型電腦或平板電腦的低端酷睿處理器有
多牛
而是回歸到了所熟悉的桌面領域。
為此,英特爾花了很長時間,特別展示了兩款非常有特點的處理器
Core i5-6600K 和 Core i7-6700K,主要定位於遊戲 PC
當時按照英特爾首席執行官布萊恩·科茲安尼克( Brian Krzanich)的說法,遊戲市場
“仍繼續保持兩位數的增長速度”。
根據最近的傳聞瞭解,儘管 IDF 2016 開發者技術資訊峰會上
英特爾率先展示的是筆記型電腦的 Kaby Lake 晶片,但英特爾仍然十分關注遊戲 PC 領
域
而且針對這一細分市場的 Kaby Lake 桌面處理器相關細節已被放出。
固定的頻率提升
上一代 Skylake 架構的 Core i5-6600K 處理器,基礎頻率為 3.5GHz
睿頻加速最大可以達到 3.9GHz。而最高端的 Core i7-6700K 基礎頻率為更高的 4GHz
睿頻則可以達到 4.2GHz 的最大速度。
不用多說,當前一代 Core i7-6700K 處理器確實是比上上一代 22 納米的 Core
i7-4790
性能更強,可能你認為是因為頻率更高(畢竟新的晶片往往比老一代頻率更高)
然而,值得注意的是,Core i7-4790K 的基礎頻率和睿頻分別為 4.2GHz 和 4.4GHz,略
微比 Core i7-6700K 高了一些。
而洩露的基於 Kaby Lake 架構的最新處理器 Core i7-7700K,基礎頻率提升到了
4.2GHz,睿頻加速最高也上升到了 4.5GHz。這就意味著,如果每頻率所提供的性能不變
的話
更高的頻率至少應該提升 5% 左右的性能。
此外,4.5GH 的頻率只是單個核心最大睿頻加速的結果,如果英特爾在提供比上一代更出
色的超能能力
其能夠發揮的性能空間不可想像。畢竟超頻是遊戲玩家和發燒友的一大樂事
他們往往針對高端處理能進行超頻(超出最大睿頻),然後通過合理利用散熱器保證長期
穩定。
第二代 14 納米工藝
英特爾官方在 IDC 2016 上展示的內容不多,但當談及性能說,卻提到了 Kaby Lake 處
理器將是
“有史以來最高性能的產品”,聲稱將為桌面平臺帶來第二代 14 納米制程工藝“14nm+
”
按照英特爾的說法,最新的第二代 14 納米工藝相比第一代能夠提高達到 12% 左右的性
能。
換句話說,如果以更完善的第二代 14nm 工藝,再結合上面提到的頻率提升
有可能最強的 Kaby Lake 處理器真正能夠帶來的提升不會很小,至少有 15% 到 25% 左
右
當然了,具體還有待玩家拿到新品之後自行測試。
無論如何,Kaby Lake 看起來像是最終贏家,不僅有 Kaby Lake 底層架構的改進
而且還有頻率的提升,以及第二代 14 納米工藝,對比 Skylake 平臺一點也不遜色
相信對於那些渴望性能,但又遲遲沒有下手 Core i7-6700K 的玩家
Kaby Lake 或許是毫不猶豫下手的首選。
