這次更新主要還是針對RCA(去除壓縮偽影)的改良

之前版本的RCA"high"品質等於現在"very high"品質
之前RCA"medium"品質等於現在"high"品質

RCA增加"medium"跟"low" 的品質選擇
madshi還是有想到一般用戶
中階卡也能享受到RCA帶來的好處
就算是用R5 2400G內顯
不開FM 1080P翻倍到4K使用NGU Sharp low是跑得動的

加上使用NGU Sharp RCA等於是附加功能不再增加顯卡負擔
現在打開"activate only if it comes for free"時
品質選擇會依照NGU Sharp的強度調節
使用NGU Sharp very high RCA也會自動開到very high
使用NGU Sharp low 就會自動使用 RCA low

如果想要細調自己做群組設定是更好

順便附帶提一些情報好了
爬doom9看到一些討論
雖然對於AMD Polaris系列顯卡跑NGU演算法不能全功
但NGU在RX VEGA架構上是沒問題的
這點要釐清一下
VEGA價錢開始有在下降了
想要單卡開FM加madVR可以考慮RX VEGA56
而madshi去年底時已經在研究新的算法

再來是NVIDIA現狀驅動對撥放HDR影片有點問題
現狀很多螢幕要開HDR模式只能使用HDMI端子
而HDMI2.0最高只能到4K 60P RGB 4：4：4 8bit
開啟HDR直通後正常是會降到4K 60P RGB 4 : 2 : 2
但就算更新頻率降低4K23P RGB 4：4：4
也只能選擇12bit or 8bit

10bit模式是不可選的

而目前支援HDR的螢幕
很多面板都只到原生10bit
使用12bit的情況下
當螢幕面板不是10bit
且螢幕不能很好的處裡12bit時畫面會出現banding
而使用8bit就不會出現banding
但當你螢幕是原生10bit面板 HDR影片也是10bit
要正常觀看你卻只能用8bit模式撥放...= =

madshi的說法這是Nvidia 顯卡驅動在Win10的BUG


Just found out that the Nvidia GPU drivers have a bug
in Windows 10 which stop 10bit
from working properly in fullscreen windowed mode,
but only when using HDR passthrough.
Works fine without HDR passthrough.
Works fine in FSE mode.

The next madVR build will force 8bit in HDR fullscreen windowed mode
for Nvidia GPUs. For now, to workaround this issue, either use FSE mode,
or manually switch the madVR monitor settings to 8bit.


madshi是想將NVIDIA GPU在HDR直通模式下全螢幕視窗模式強制使用8bit
而AMD Polaris跟VEGA沒有這個問題

未來HDMI 2.1如何未知
只知道NV驅動沒改的話狀況會是一樣的
