The ageing HTC Magic will get an Android 2.1 update in 2010 - good news for
Android early adopters

HTC is to issue an OS update for the Magic Android phone that’ll upgrade the
operating system to version 2.1 – currently the latest version available.

Not only this but the update will also include HTC Sense, which made its
debut on the Magic Successor, the HTC Hero. It’s good to see that older
devices are still being supported by HTC, as we had a feeling that 1.5 might
have been the end of the road for the Magic.

However, here in the UK we’ll most likely have to wait for carriers to catch
on and make their own 2.1 update based on HTC’s original one. However, with
any luck these will make it to Magic phone by mid-to-late 2010.
