make指令無法使用(Ubuntu10.10) - Linux

我是剛開始使用Linux的新手!

我想要在Ubuntu10.10的環境下
安裝Madwifi-0.9.4
Kernel:2.6.35-22-generic

但每次執行make指令時
會出現以下的程式碼

./kernelversion.c:13:fatal error:linux/utsrelease.h:No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
Makefile.inc:81: ***Cannot detect kernel version - please check compiler and KERNELPATH. Stop.

爬過文
有使用過apt-get install gcc
但還是無法使用

是少了什麼套件還是版本不相符呢?
請大家告訴我如何解決問題啊!
