有消息指出，Google 正在開發兩款新的 Nexus 7 平板電腦
該消息稱，新款平板電腦更輕薄
將採用台灣瀚宇彩晶 (HannStar Display) 的 TN 面板觸控螢幕
其中一款售價 199 美元，另一款售價 99 美元
兩款產品均將在今年的第四季上市
Google 此舉可能是為了應對傳說中的 Apple iPad Mini
先前的消息指出 Apple 將於今年第四季將會推出 7.85" 的 iPad Mini 平板電腦
另外謠傳瀚宇彩晶還成為了 Apple iPad 零部件供應商
