IBM明年將推出搭配Power9 CPU和NVLink 2.0匯流排的IBM伺服器
伺服器將支援多達六個採用 Volta-COMPUT協同處理器
NVLink 2.0將比1.0(從20GB提昇到25GB),提供50 GB/s的雙向頻寬速度。
同時在PCI-Express x4的情況下,將提供頻寬高達64 GB/s。作為對比
四個Tesla P100 NVLink協同處理器的的速度為160 GB/s (4* 40)的頻寬
這可以解釋為什麼NVIDIA還沒有決定採用PCIe 4.0取代NVLink,而且可能永遠也不會。
這次報告還證實,即將舉行的Tesla V100(名稱只是一個猜測)
也將以SXM2外形(這基本上證實了它具有高頻寬儲存器)來設計
無論是大Volta(又名GV100)將分兩個變體提供(計算和遊戲為導向),是未知的。
