The Pentagon has banned Google Inc. from making street-level video
maps of military bases in the United States, according to reports
Thursday.
Mountain View-based Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) was allowed into at
least one base, Associated Press said, before the ban went into
effect.
The Pentagon is concerned that sensitive information could be
released publicly and put military personnel in danger.
