一般來說 1Rx8 ECC DIMM 大概長的這個樣子,X=F(0,...,7), F是ECC函數,
可以糾錯1個bit,可以偵錯2個bit

後來不知道是誰發現 X 只需要4bit, 就能提供不錯的糾錯能力, 這時候拿個刀砍半好了.
新的 1Rx4 ECC DIMM (忽略Buffer) 大概長的這個樣子, 這時候就有趣了
Case 1: X=F(0,...,f) , Y=F(0,...,f,X)
可以糾錯2個bit,可以偵錯3個bit
Case 2: X=F(0,...,f) , Y=spare cell
可以糾錯1個bit,可以偵錯2個bit, 附帶允許Y跟0,...,f,X之間的任一個做交換
(大概等同於在iMC內做線路交換)

一般先啟用Case1, 累積一段時間後發現老是某一個cell產生ECC error, 就會啟用Case2
因為一整個cell壞掉對整個iMC的效能減損太嚴重, 所以會需要Case2.
各位應該猜的到這個 1Rx4 就是現行E5的做法.

2. 這個SSD一旦被寫滿, 這個加速效果就失效了, 要等SSD的內容回寫到HDD上才能恢復
3. 目前只有win10 only, Linux還不行
4. 重點 萬一你關機前 SSD 內容沒有回寫到 HDD 上, 會發生甚麼事情我也不知道
5. 只限於跟 PCH 提供的 SATA port 做綁定
