(1) 作者是多倫多大學 理論物理學 博士後研究員
(2) 他指出，之前有人測試 iPhone 6S，發現台積電16nm晶片比三星14nm有更長的續航力，猜想是因為台積電有較強的半導體製程所形成的競爭優勢。
(3) 他利用高斯模型與貝斯模型之混合模型，對這兩種不同晶片數據作分析，結論是：「有足夠證據顯示，在平均耗電方面，N71mAP（台積電）機型優於N71AP（三星）至少30個百分比。」
(4) 作者也指出， Geekbench 對系統單晶片、cpu、gpu....等，提供了耗電方面的壓力測試，是一種綜合性的基準。在玩遊戲等密集使用cpu的情況下 (也就是在Geekbench提供的測試情況下)，他的分析提供了充份的證據 ，顯示台積電晶片確實優於三星。
