vmware player可裝vmware tool ? - Linux

我的狀況是這樣的,

uanme -r
2.6.38-8-generic

ubuntu 11.04

其實之前出錯的是在ubunt 64-bits
現在在安裝32-bits的版本..

我有下載vmware-tool-distru, 版本是7.8.5 (請問最新的版本是多少呢 ??)
sudo ./vmware-install.pl

安裝到What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your
running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]

我已經有apt-get install build-essential
那我也有嘗試選擇路徑, 底下是我的資訊
ls /usr/src
linux-headers-2.6.38-8 linux-headers-2.6.38-8-generic linux-source-2.6.38

因為我的uname -r後面有代 generic, 因此我選擇了 linux-headers-2.6.38-8-generic

The directory of kernel headers (version @@VMWARE@@ UTS_RELEASE) does not
match
your running kernel (version 2.6.38-8-generic). Even if the module were to
compile successfully, it would not load into the running kernel.


然後好像網上又說要下載vmware-any-any-update117, 因此我下載後安裝
sudo ./runme.pl

但出現了
Unable to open the installer database /etc/vmware/locations in read-mode.

Execution aborted.


很腦殘的去改變 /etc/vmware/locations的屬性為777
還是一樣...

請問我現在要怎樣找到我的C header呢? thanks!
