(10 月 25 日更新),蘋果已在 10 月 23 日更新了 App Store 的規定,允許應用程式開發商可就款項支付直接與用戶接洽,如今應用程式開發商無須支付蘋果 15 或 30% 的佣金。由於多家企業不滿蘋果公司把持市場,此舉可說是蘋果與業者達成法律和解的讓步。
今年 9 月 10 日蘋果與《要塞英雄》開發者 Epic Games 的訴訟案落幕,美國法院向蘋果下達永久禁令,要求蘋果必須允許應用程式的替代支付方式,這讓蘋果 App Store 營利模式遭遇重大挫折。
蘋果與《要塞英雄》開發者 Epic Games 的訴訟案,美國聯邦法官羅傑斯(Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers)週五做出裁決,下令蘋果不得禁止 APP 開發商引導 APP 買家通過第三方支付平台付費。
Epic Games 打贏官司,仍因「違約」需支付 400 萬美元給蘋果
蘋果自 2021 年 9 月 10 日有 90 天的緩衝時間,直到該禁令生效並可採取行動。同時,羅傑斯還要求原告 Epic 向蘋果支付至少 400 萬美元的違約賠償金。
蘋果與 Epic 的反壟斷案意義重大,因為這將對行動裝置商業模式產生深遠影響。
蘋果通常會從 App Store 總銷售額中抽取 15% 至 30% 的佣金,如今,美國法院勒令蘋果禁止要求開發商只能使用軟體內的購買機制,這讓蘋果 App Store 的抽成制度恐成過去式。
儘管蘋果沒有透露每年 App Store 的收入,但研究機構 Sensor Tower 調查顯示,2020 年蘋果 App Store 營收高達 723 億美元,較前一年成長 30%,App Store 的抽成制度為蘋果重要的營收來源之一。
全球反壟斷的壓力之下,蘋果 App Store 正逐步開放支付條件
早前南韓開全球先例,禁止蘋果 App Store 及 Google Play 應用程式商店利用市場地位強迫應用程式開發商分享 30% 營收。
接著,9 月初蘋果與日本公平貿易委員會 JFTC 達成和解,為解決長達五年的反壟斷調查,蘋果宣布明年初放寬閱讀類 App 的付款規定,允許其軟體連結至外部網站以供用戶付款。
受此消息影響,蘋果股價應聲紅翻黑,週五美股午盤截稿前,蘋果下跌 2.46%,暫報每股 150.06 美元。
