【施崇棠專訪】「豬頭皮榨不出油了」 華碩手機敗陣原因曝光
華碩豪砸重金找韓星孔劉當手機代言人,卻未能明顯帶動銷量。

華碩2014年打著「奢華眾享」的口號,以高性價比的ZenFone系列進
攻智慧手機市場,一度攻城掠地,但近2年卻出現營運逆風,施崇棠
歸咎於,「因為豬頭皮榨不出油了,拚到最後已經沒辦法,卻不敢講
,亂cost down的結果,產品一擺到上面去,就會被消費者發現,怎
麼是這樣子的東西。」
除了企業文化改革外,另一再造重點就是曾被施崇棠寄予重望、重振
華碩雄風的祕密武器—手機事業的未來。華碩2003年投入手機市場,
算是國內少數投入手機研發的業者,至今仍擁有相當多專利,隨著智
慧型手機崛起,華碩一度找不到切入點,甫卸任執行長的沈振來,在
2014年打著「奢華眾享」的口號,ZenFone以高性價比的策略,成功
攻占新台幣5,000元價位帶,一度在印度、東南亞等新興市場掀起狂
賣熱潮。
未料小米、華為等大陸業者跟隨仿效,去年,華碩砸重金找來韓國男
神孔劉代言,也無法抵擋大陸手機襲捲市場,市占率節節敗退,虧損
也越來越大,讓壓寶手機的沈振來不得不請辭下台。
「這2年華碩為什麼會不行,是因為豬頭皮榨不出油了,拚到最後已
經沒辦法,卻不敢講,亂cost down的結果,產品一擺到上面去,就
會被消費者發現,怎麼是這樣子的東西。」坦承手機失敗的施崇棠還
主動問本刊,是否曾發現ZenFone有收不到訊號斷線的問題。
未來華碩手機不再拚性價比,將專注電競以及專家用戶。面對手機市
場的嚴酷挑戰,施崇棠決定從過去主機板到筆電戰場上,都曾學習拿
破崙以優勢兵力發起攻擊打敗對手的策略,應用到電競手機市場。「
不要跟大獅子們拚,華碩要學會創新、要在市場打洞。」
還舉最近頗受市場肯定的專業電競手機ROG Phone為例,「ROG Phone
就獲得玩家很大肯定,又可以跟華碩的ROG生態系貫穿起來,強化對
華碩品牌的認同。」

華碩看起來是希望把手機的價值提升,不過說自己這兩年在產品上「亂cost down」!?
這是不是代表近兩年買華碩手機的是買到「亂cost down」的產品?
如果是的話我認為消費者會非常失望吧,我也是其中一員呢
