升ssd的疑問？ - MAC

大家好
我的mbp 是09年中出的
最近想換ssd幫它升級一下，爬了一些文章有些疑問想請教一下
因為看到有人說ssd+hd 做fusion drive，要是掛點就很難救資料回來。
這點我真有點害怕。想說那就不做 fusion drive。
那要是不做fusion drive的話，關於iphoto可以把預設路徑指到hd上嗎？
還是把iphoto的那個library搬到hd上，它以後就在hd上跑了呢？
我原硬碟是5400轉的，ssd+hd 不做fusion drive的選擇下
會不會在操作hd上的檔案時，會有不時頓一下的狀況呢？
另外，若要是做fusion drive
我拿原本在機器上的5400轉hd+ssd ，這樣跑起來ssd的速度不會被hd拖住嗎？
