AMD的Zen架構處理器主打高性能桌面及伺服器市場,將從之前的物理模組多核設計回歸傳
統的SMT超執行緒。
現在AMD在伺服器市場上推過16核的皓龍處理器,而Zen架構要想在伺服器市場有所突破,
更多的核心也是不可避免的。
最新的代碼升級中,人們發現Zen架構很可能有32個核心,簡直是喪心病狂啊!
AMD的Zen架構處理器屬於Family 17h, Model 00h家族處理器,它的LLC(Last Level
Cache)
緩存關係與北橋並不固定,因此不能通過BOD ID來分配LLC ID。
來自博客dresdenboy的消息稱代碼曝光了Zen架構一些秘密,如下圖所示:
+ core_complex_id = (apicid & ((1 << c->x86_coreid_bits) - 1)) >> 3;
+ per_cpu(cpu_llc_id, cpu) = (socket_id << 3) | core_complex_id;
這部分代碼中提到了Core complex,它指的應該是計算單元(compute unit)
之前AMD的合作夥伴已經這樣用過。這個數字代表了3個右移位,也就是8
由於SMT超執行緒中每個物理核心對應2個執行緒,那麼1個Core complex中應該包含4個物
理核心及1個共用LLC。
第二行顯示了socket ID是3個左移位,代表著有3bit的Core complex ID,意味著每個
socket對應8個核心,或者32個物理核心。
上面的內容比較拗口,不過它實際表達的其實就是從代碼中發現AMD的Zen架構處理器
很有可能具備32個物理核心,算上超執行緒的話就是64執行緒了。這其實也不是Zen架構
第一次被爆有超多核心了
此前就有消息稱伺服器版Zen處理器——也就是皓龍版Zen不僅有16核32執行緒的產品
還會有32核64執行緒的產品。此外,在AMD的百億億次計算計畫中,他們也有打算推出32
核Zen架構APU,具備10TFLOPS浮點性能。
總之,AMD的Zen架構回歸SMT超執行緒之後,桌面市場預期會出現8核16執行緒的高端FX處
理器
而伺服器版Zen架構處理器估計是16核32執行緒起跳了,32核64執行緒的也不是不可能。
