打樁機乃浮雲 壓路機才是AMD的撒手鐧 - 3C

國外媒體VR-Zone今天發表一篇評論文章,詳細闡述了他們對AMD還未發佈的打樁機的看法
,全文如下:
三個月之前AMD發佈了移動版的Trinity APU,從高端型號A10系列的測試來看,它的整合
GPU部分表現還是非常不錯的,但也僅限於此而已。CPU部分雖然採用了打樁機架構,但還
是沒有給大家帶來什麼驚喜,由於採用了模組化的設計,打樁機的浮點性能相對於上一代
羿龍II架構來說還是有所不如,靠著多核心的優勢在整數性能上有所提升而已,距離Sandy
Bridge/Ivy Bridge還有一定的性能差距擺在那裡。
對於移動市場來說,這種情況還是可以接受的,畢竟移動平臺對性能的要求並沒有桌面平
臺那麼的苛刻,Trinity APU相對來說更加均衡一些的性能表現也是它賴以生存的基礎。低
功耗版的Trinity APU在把TDP控制在17-20W的同時帶來6-10個小時的電池續航時間也讓AMD
能夠推出“Ultrathin”筆記本計畫來對抗Intel的Ultra Book。

但在桌面市場上,AMD可就不是那麼樂觀了,桌上出版的Trinity APU以及打樁機遲遲不肯
推出也顯得AMD非常的無奈,畢竟打樁機相對於推土機來說性能提升的十分可憐,現在拿出
來可能會起到適得其反的作用,所以他們只能在伺服器市場上率先拿出打樁機架構的產品
,畢竟在伺服器上物理多核心還是佔據一部分優勢的。
指望打樁機去挑戰Ivy Bridge顯然是一件不可能的事情了,Trinity APU倒還好說,畢竟
GPU部分的表現能為他迎來諸多的喝彩,但打樁機面臨的慘敗不得不讓AMD去花點時間給自
己做點心理安慰。
AMD會認命嗎?顯然不可能。也許AMD將所有的希望寄託在了將在明年推出的“壓路機”身
上吧,它將採用28nm工藝製造,但具體的架構資訊目前還不知道,也許打樁機只是一個過
渡性的產品,AMD真正的大戲要等待壓路機來臨才會開唱。
GF的28nm工藝值得信任嗎?32nm推出了這麼長時間了還是一團糟,希望28nm能夠給力吧,
基礎條件打好了壓路機才能有一鳴驚人的資格。
