號角的長度要有數個波長才有效,340Hz 波長大約一公尺。頻率低到一個程度,
所有喇吧都是點波源。重點是在分音點附近,高低音單體的輻射場型是否類似。
傳統的雙音路號角設計,在分頻點附近號角其實不太有辦法控制場型 (不夠深)
但同時 15" 的中低音單體,直徑在 1.8KHz 已經兩個波長了 (beaming)
這個問題在所有 JBL 都存在,直到 M2 開發出一個誇張的壓縮單體,把分頻點
降到 800Hz 才真正得到控制。
號角的根本思路是用光學反射的方式看待波現象,EOS615 是走另外一條路,
用近場的方式去理解低音單體。最基本的振膜模型就是全鋼體,整個一起動。
維持圓形的振膜有利製造和維持振膜的剛性,但是在前面加上結構來調整近
場 (也許可以用 diffuser 類比),來達到和高音單體類似的場型。
對,很多人玩過大低音單體跟號角要怎麼融合,但是在低音單體前面放號角只有
視覺效果,思路上的創新在我看來 M2 和 EOS615 是兩大進步。
不計較體積的話,和 Genelec 類似的思路是 SynergyHorn,用精選的輻射孔
位置,搭配電子濾波器和聲學濾波器,讓全音域得到號角點源的效果。
