國外一篇很有趣的評測報告

在 Linux 下有人測試發現，Firefox 3 比 Firefox 2 更吃記憶體

有趣的是，有另外的人發現，OpenOffice 隨著新版推出，正在持續變慢當中

有人可以捐一些舊電腦給這些開發者嗎？
也許，他們都用太頂級的電腦，以至於都沒感覺到問題吧....
這就是人家所說的 Wirth's law

雖然硬體在變快，但是軟體變慢的程度比硬體變快得更多
所以完全抵銷，電腦並不會變快

就像這個 wiki 網頁上說的：
An example can be found with the transition to and emergence of 64-bit
architectures and multi-core CPUs for which applications and operating
systems have been attributed as being complex and financially intensive to
design and providing little benefit to current mainstream markets.
升級到 64 位元多核心架構，反而導致作業系統和應用程式，
必須採用相當複雜的設計，因而對目前主流市場，只有很少的幫助。

我個人非常同意這段話。
