我覺得一個軟體開發到後來越慢、越吃記憶體是很正常的
否則的話 Windows XP 比 DOS 慢那該抨擊 XP 嗎?
同時 64 位元 + 多核心勢必是未來的趨勢
就像我們不可能倒退或停留在 16 位元的時代一樣
而且目前現在是電晶體的時代
單顆 CPU 時脈很難再往上拉
因此多核也是未來趨勢
現今的軟體想只靠一顆高 clock rate 的 CPU
來提升速度已經不太可能
所以 programmer 想在這改朝換代的時間贏在起跑點
就多讀點 architecture, 64-bit & parallel programming 的東西吧
