無線網卡設定 , Broadcom 802.11g - Linux

各位好
小弟昨天把 ubuntu10.10 裝好
現在遇到無線網卡driver安裝/設定的問題
因為小弟剛開始研究這塊
不懂的地方還蠻多的,所以問題很蠢,請各位包涵
想上來請教有類似經驗的版友


我的網卡是 Broadcom 4311 802.11g
手邊有 windows XP 版本的driver

安裝步驟是參考這個 link

依照上述步驟做,都沒發現什麼問題
直到 go to networking and activate your card 這個步驟
我的無線網卡的狀態顯示 "(disconnected) firmwire missing"
可以請教一下你人遇過這種情形嗎?

如果小弟在設定LINUX 無線網路的概念上
有什麼遺漏掉的地方
還煩請知道的版友,給與指教

download/install Broadcom sta 802.11bg package

b43/b43legacy 早就支援，要用 wl 也是可以
不過這樣繞了一大圈根本是自找麻煩

根本不用 ndiswapper 也不用 broadcom 的專利驅動

經過了我的一番實驗 我發現同樣的比電 win7實在是比linux 持久大概一小時 尤其Kernel 升級到3開頭後 我試過很多版本 連tiny core 或者 puppy 這種輕量級的都一樣 我也把 CPU 調成powersave 那個風扇 就是開多久 轉多久 而且我什麼軟體都還沒跑 連待機 筆電放包包 過一 ...
