以前的linux 32bit也是有4GB限制
現在大部分都預先編入PAE了
以前要額外裝PAE或者highmem之類的套件包
但是single process還是受到4GB限制
正確來說最多也就3.XG,因為要保留一些給交換用
自己compile過後的可以做到4GB以上支援
但是使用到4GB以上就要做轉換工作
這邊轉那邊轉的CPU TIME就會被浪費
由於是8GB以上工作時間更是驚人的可怕
問題不單單是在M$而已
M$以前也出過32BIT可以支援到4GB以上的server版本
到現在server版本幾乎全都是64bit了
為了要32bit能用4GB以上而裝PAE除非是真的有大量老舊軟體要用
否則根本捨本逐末....
一樣的電腦
用XP 32BIT、PS 32BIT、8G RAM + PAE
跟WIN7 64BIT、PS 64BIT、8G RAM
小檔還感覺不太出來
大檔就會有很明顯的差異
AE在render的時候更可以達到十倍甚至更高的恐怖速度
現在的遊戲市場、專業軟體也都慢慢朝X64前進
如果要用32BIT強裝PAE去吃RAM
就像以前8086只能addressing到1MB然後你用超能力讓他定到8GB
他還是8086
