已經在市場上稱霸3年的Nehalem架構X58平台終於在今天有新一代的接班人,
於2011年初發表的SandyBridge架構進化成6核心的SandyBridge-E,
並搭配X79晶片組平台正式亮相32nm製程,擁有6核心12執行緒,最大4通道記憶體,
兩組PCI-E x16與1組PCI-E x8通道目前因為CPU本身的限制只支援Gen2的頻寬
使用LGA 2011的封裝,體積比前代LGA 1366還要大,TDP為130W
為了應付這麼大面積的CPU本體及130W的TDP,
Intel推出RTS2011LC水冷散熱器作為官方散熱示範
